Class Descriptions

Wednesday or Thursday Evening All-Levels Wheelthrowing:

This 8 week all-level wheel-throwing class takes place from 6pm-9pm. We have two sections: Wednesday Evening and Thursday Evening. We have a maximum of 6 students in each section, making this the perfect size for beginner students looking for one-on-one help OR returning students looking to hone their skills.

Up to 25lbs of clay, dipping glazes, and firing fees are all included with tuition. You have a choice of Laugna Brown Clay or Kentucky Mudworks Roo. You can purchase additional bags of clay for $40 each. Students can practice their skills during Open Studio on Saturday or Sunday (per intern availability) from 9am-12pm.

Thursday Afternoon Handbuilding Class:

This 8 week Handbuilding class takes place from 2pm-5pm. This Thursday afternoon class starts on March 11th and ends on April 29th.  Students will learn basic handbuilding techniques such as slabs, coils and pinch pots. Students will learn how to use molds and customize forms. This class is perfect for beginners, in addition to people who wish to continue their clay journey.

One 25lb bag of clay, glazes, and firing fees are all included with tuition. You can purchase additional bags of clay for $40 each. You have a choice of Lauguna Brown Clay or Kentucky Mudworks Roo. Students can practice their skills during Open Studio on Saturday or Sunday (per intern availability) from 9am-12pm.

Clay Curious: 2 Hour Private Session

Take a private lesson with our founder, Emily, and make 2-3 items that you can pick up (or have shipped to you) in four to six weeks! Try the wheel and make 3 small items such as spoon rests, small cup or mug, and a bowl, OR try handbuilding and make a larger serving platter. 

Private lessons are $70 per person, we can accommodate up to 6 people on the wheel OR 8 handbuilders.
